CyberChristmas Charity Event - Part 2

Continue from last post…

After lunch, several of us went back to Cyberjaya, as they were tired and busy with other stuffs. For the rest of us kids-freaks, we set off to our next home, Rumah Hope. It is situated somewhere in seapark( I think ), and I had been there before during my secondry school days, when I was involved in the Leo club charity event. That time I was still form 4, and 5 years later, here I am in this place again, this time with about 30 friends from university and the place had evolved into a nicer surrounding and with the kids getting bigger. We arrived there around 1PM, and there were already a group of people there, (CF-ers from MMU) playing with the kids. About 40 of us were there, mingling with around 50-60 kids. It was really an eye opener for me, as I played, and dance around like one of them, talking about being an adult..:P

As soon as the second group came, we gathered all the kids inside the building, and sang some Christmas carols. Some of the kids were seen jumping and singing, and as I lead, I saw some of he older kids (one of us) dancing with the young ones. The atmosphere was super fun, and to some of us, we were tired from visiting the previous home, and because of Cyber Christmas practice the day before. Still, we managed to put on our smile, and used our back up energy to make this visit a wonderful one for the kids and us too. We had several fun game, with Lincoln in charged. Since the whether was not kind to us when we arrived, we settled for some indoor games, with Lincoln in charged. The kids there were all hyped up, and eagerly awaiting the games to start. We gave out presents to the kids after the games, and I befriended several kids, which were so adorable and nice to be with. Had photo session with several of them, and imparted into them some of the advice hat I got. Hehehe, it was a cool thing to do, helping others in tune with the festive seasons

It’s the hard time again to endure, when all of us started saying bye bye to the children at the home. I am beginning to learn how to control myself, after the experience in the morning, but I failed when one of the kids came up to me and say “Anneh, can I go back with you?” (Anneh means big brother in Tamil) . I was moved and shocked and carried him into my arms, while hugging him. Words couldn’t describe the emotions that I had then, but after a while, he let go, and ran back to the house. Hmmm…..I really thank God for bringing me here to this home, and to the previous home that I went in the morning. It taught me how to be grateful, and no matter who I am, I still can be friends to people who are less fortunate then me.

That was my day spent in the two orphanages, and the first thing I did upon reaching Cyber was to sleep, but then my friend called me u to go for a workout and to have a swim in the clubhouse. I gladly obliged, and spent 3.5 hours exercising, swimming, steaming, and jamming (He brought guitar to my house and we played throughout the night). Yeap….so by the time I actually got to rest, it’s already 3AM..and I got to wake up the next day at 8AM for Cyber Christmas practiceJ

See you people soon…Happy New Year…

CyberChristmas Charity Event - Part 1

Cyber Christmas is less then a week way now, and I am starting to feel the urgency to be united and also the tiredness that followed after weeks of practices and rehearsals. Many activities are lined up for the upcoming Cyber Christmas next year, and one of the completed events is the Charity drive program, led by Benny. It’s a charity program, as it’s name suggest, and the first “quest” that was completed is the Adopt-A-Gift program, which started somewhere last semester, around October. It’s a time where we, CF-ers of MMU, chose 3 orphanages in the Klang Valley, and bought gifts for the orphans staying there. The gifts are categorized into “Big children gifts and small children present. Each gifts are adopted by the caring souls of the students in Multimedia University, that comes bundled with a personalized Christmas message, written specifically for a orphan. The homes tat were chosen for this program is Rumah Charis, Rumah Trinity, and Rumah Hope. Rumah Charis was visited last week (23rd of December), followed by Rumah Trinity and Rumah Hope on the 29th of December. . I had the privilege to be in the visiting team, and the events that followed is really a blessing to me.

We left MMU on a bright and sunny Thursday morning, at 9.40AM, and after half and hour or so, we reached Rumah Trinity. Among the first on-hand to greet us, the big brothers and big sisters, was a 10 year old boy and the caretaker of the home, Aunty Nancy. As soon as I stepped foot inside the home, I was swamped by several kids, and all of them were cute and nice. We had caroling session before we started fellowshipping with the kids, and they seemed to enjoy the songs. Afterwards we had 40 minutes of fun time with the kids, and among the activities that we had was Captain ball, foot ball, catching, eagle and hen, and several others included badminton. I really had a super fun time with the kids, and I was touched at the fact that even though they do not have parents, they still managed to put on a smile to me, a stranger who had never talked to them before. I felt sympathy in my heart even as I was enjoying myself with the kids. Some of us even carried the kids as big as 12 years old and the feeling of wanting to have a child was clearly seen in the face of several people (me included, hahaha)..we gave out presents to each and every kid who was there, and what we got in return was the biggest and sweetest smiles they could offer. All of them were touched, and even the caretakers were moved, and thank all of us for spending time and giving out presents to the kids. I had great fun chasing the ball with several kids, and clearly they were much superior then 4 of us . Throughout this time, cameras were seen flashing all over, with a video camera taking the moving image of some boys falling down.

After an hour or so, we had to say farewell.. Awwwwww…..it was so hard to leave the place, as he kids were clinging on to us, and asking when will we be back. I had trouble controlling myself too, as I was carrying a 4 years old girl and a 4 years old boy….it seemed to me that I already had an attachment with the kids there already, so much so we spent another 5-10 minutes talking and advising them on their studies. I enjoyed the visit so much, and without wasting anymore time, we went over to PJ Old town to have lunch, before setting out to the next home….

An event that changed the world

I am deeply saddened and actually shed tears for the earthquake tragedy's victims, which has claimed at least 65,000 lifes , which includes 70 people from our very own country, Malaysia, where Tsunami and earthquakes had never happened before since history began. According to geologists and experts, this is the strongest earthquake that happened since the year 1964, and the 3rd largest in the world in earthquake’s history, measuring 8.9 on the ritcher scale. This is the very first time a country like Malaysia, which is well protected by all natural disaster, experienced earthquakes tremors and the deadly Tsunami killer waves. My heart goes all out to the family, relatives, friends, kins, of the deceased, and I share your sorrow and your pain. Nothing could be undone, except that just trust in The Almighty, that in every circumstances and trials, He will be there. It's really extremely hard to swallow the fact that someone close had gone away forever, but be strong and persevere…God will be there.

Lord, I lift up all the families and friends of those who had lost their life in the earthquake and the tsunami waves. Lord, You know of their pain and grief, and there is nothing that men can do to ease their sorrows, but only You can do it Lord. Father, take away their burdens, and pain that they are suffering even now, and I pray for a special covering of your blood to be upon the 65,000 families and friends, that they will find solace and refuge in Your name, Lord. I pray that Your presence will be felt in their hearts, and once again, I commit all who are affected into Your loving and caring arms. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Merry Christmas...

Joy to the world the Lord is come
Let earth receive her king
Let every heart prepare him room
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and heaven and nature sing

Yea, it’s 25th of December again, and it is Christmas, YEA!!!

People all around the world celebrate this day with a lot of expectation and hope, wishing that Santa Claus will fill their stocking with loads of goodies and gifts. Well, I am not that greedy. All I want for Christmas is a lap top, complete bundled with all the latest gadgets and software, including fingerprint authentication and GPRS satellite uplink. That’s what I call non-greedy…LOL…:D

Christmas day celebration was fun, went to church on it’s eve, and met a lot of my old church friends, some whom I have not met for months, missed them a lot. The service started around at 8, and all of us were dressed at our very best, including the young ones, which came with blazers and ties. WOW……had a couple of carols sung, led by pastor Johnathan, and also a worship session, which includes some of the popular carols plus the usual worship songs. Had great fun worshiping and it made me recalled of the times I shed tears during worship. I did it again this time. Well, the presence of God could really be felt in this short time, and it made me realized several things that went wrong in my life, and the measures I should take to rectify it. I really thank God for speaking deep to me, and while listening to the message of Christmas that Pastor Joseph shared, I was moved again. Christmas isn’t about presents and carols; It comes from within our self, that’s why it is written “Emmanuel, God with Us”. The service ended with the rendition of the song Felice Navidad, and all of us started to hug everybody, and did an early Merry Christmas wish to one another, it was like something out from the movies, where people starts going around, shaking hands and saying “Merry Christmas”…it was not long after then I went and join in the wishing game, and it turns out pretty cool and nice, I took some pictures with a lot of my church mates, and there was a friend who just came back from Australia after his studies. I missed him so much, and am really glad to see him, after a year of studies Down Under.

After the service, I went out with my friends for a Christmas dinner, hosted by Pastor Joseph and family, and I stuffed myself with the famous “Ra-sem” and also some chicken curry, beef, rice, vegetables, and so much more. And what’s the time for dinner u asked. Well, the time is approx 12.15AM. YEA!!! And after the sumptuous dinner/supper, we headed off to another pastor house for snacks, and to pick up another friend who was to joined us for our night outing. Well, we settled for a movie there, and laughed our heads off by watching Home Alone 2. After some one hour spent there, with stomach cramps that resulted from laughing too much and the like, we finally got moving over to Subang Jaya for a chilling out on Christmas morning.

We stopped by at Darulsalam, which is in Subang, and the 8 of us, settled down for some ice blended stuffs, plus some latte cappuccino, and whatever that is nice. We talked and talked, reminiscing our good old days, where we were at least 6 years younger when we first met. The good old days….now that we are older, well, we just settled for some oldies stuffs, hehehe…..chatted till about 4 AM, and all of us were tired and kind of zonked out by the time we were in the car, unlike the hyper mode when we first came here.

It had been a memorable Christmas for me this year, and hopefully the resolutions I have made will come true and every plan will go smoothly from now on. Really wanna say Thank you to a couple of friends here for making my Christmas seemed worthwhile…

Unforgettable experience and wonderful present for Xmas

Hello people….glad to be back in cyber space after a few days of holiday. Been busy with Cyber Christmas which is a week away, with meeting and assignments which are out on he first week of study itself. Sigh, when will I ever get rest? (FYI, I just finished my 3 weeks of holiday recently, hehehehehe)

The other day,I went back to my house in Petaling Jaya from Cyberjaya, not by bas, nor by car. I went home sitting pillion with my friend on a motorcycle. Yeap, the two wheels, Yamaha brand machine, where only 2 people can sit on it at any one time. ( If wanna do stunts, four also can…:D) anyway, this being my first time sitting on a motorcycle to KL, and the experience is worth it. For those of you people who have not been on a bike before, just imagine yourself being in a situation below

You take your sit on an oversized foot massage machine, directly in front of a table fan, both which are in operation. You switch on the television beside you, and all you see is a live show on Formula One racing in Sepang. You put on a helmet, and goggles. Suddenly, u smelled something burning in a kitchen, and you can’t get off the machine, so you have to bear with the smell for a long time. 60 minutes to be exact.

The above simulation is exactly the same feel while I am riding pillion on the motorcycle. The vibration on the butt and the body, the wind rushing through my whole self, the sound of thousands of vehicles passing through, a few centimeters away form where I am sitting, the smell of carbon monoxide and several poisonous gases invading my nose, and the sight of the ground moving at 80KMJ . WOW, that’s a whole new experience for me. I love it so much, especially when the part where we squeezed through cars during traffic jam in KL, and also zooming pass toll booth without paying, plus the thrills I get when we zig zaged along the streets in KL, negotiating corners, and being the first to go when the traffic lights turned form red to green, and also the hot sun that burns throuh your skins for one hour... That’s one heck of an experience I got on Christmas eve. The not-so-good part of it is that I got to sniffed in poisonous gases and I am at 100% risk of going straight to heaven in case of some mishaps. I am not claiming it, but that’s what happens to motorcyclists.

That is my account of what happened during Christmas eve, and a wonderful Christmas present my friend gave me, by sending me t KL on a bike. Thank You brother, have a wonderful day…..

I need to say something...

Hello people.....one week of disappearance from blogspot and I am beginning to missed it so so much. I wonder if anybody out there do share the same sentiments with me. It’s not that I purposely wanting to stay away, but just that laziness and procrastination ought to be blamed for this…very bad ler hor, must remove them from my mind..

Since the day I came back from my break, I have been fired up for the upcoming Cyber Christmas, which is an annual event, organized by the CF of Multimedia University, Cyberjaya. For this year, it will be a 3 days event, with the night event, caroling, choir, café…etc all lined up for one purpose. To share God’s love to all students in campus. Been going through numerous practices and meetings the day I came back till now, and I am beginning to feel the tiredness that followed.

”When I am weak, God is strong”

That’s the verse I’ve been telling to myself each day, and I know hat He will make the difference in my life. Been learning and trying to keep focus on Him who strengthens me, and also fr he rest in His arms.

Besides Cyber Christmas, 2 days later will be CHRISTMAS day!!! Yea!!! It’s the day where the big fat jolly jolly Santa clause will come down and fill your stockings with lots of goodies and sweets.

“What are you talking here Jowen, you know very well there is no Santa clause, and there are no stocking to be filled”

Geees….i guess I must have been hooked up since standard 1 till about Form 3 with that mindset, hehehe…. Anyway, the real meaning to Christmas is the day Jesus, the saviour was born on earth,, for the salvation of mankind.

Joy to the world, The Lord is come…

Let the semester begin...

After 1814400 seconds of resting and enjoying, the time has come to be alert again . The semester will start again tomorrow, which brings me to my final semester of this academic year. Time sure flies, and all I remembered doing during my holidays were sleep, eat, play, read, went out……..but never thought of studying. Hehehe…guess too much of holiday will bring more harm then good .

I was back here to the semi-concrete jungle of Cyberjaya last Saturday, and started cleaning up my room, and my house. After so long of vacancy, the dust pile was horrendous. It took me about 4 hours to finish cleaning up everything (this includes vacuuming, mopping, and wiping). For a moment, I thought I was a maid, doing household chores for my employer (housemates). Well, at least now I am very satisfied with the condition of my house and room, now that it is clean and neat now.

A phone call came about 10 minutes after I finished cleaning.

“Hey, where are you now? I am downstairs waiting for you. Come quickly ya…”

Oh crap, I almost forgotten about the X’mas BBQ party, organized by Peace Charis YA Life church. I went and changed immediately, and within 5 minutes, I was ready and in the car, on my way to the pastor’s house for the party. I had great fun there, from 6PM right up till 10.30. I made a couple of new friends, and there was one international friend which I met on that night. Which he made me looked like a dwarf beside him. This guy is from Sudan, and judging by his height, I thought he was 27 years old, but when he told me he is doing his form 6 in an international school, it shocked me. He was 2 heads taller then me, and Oh my… I looked like a form 2 student beside him….:)

Oh, looked like the semester had already started, so I think I should get started too with my studies and preparation…..:P

Accomplishment

Hello people, it's about time me update me blog, after several days of enjoying sleep and food, hehe

This holiday for me is by far the most enjoyable one, one which i anaged to accomplish something, beside the usual routime, which is eat, sleep and play games. I know for some, my accomplishment is a routine for them, but I still think it's a big thing for me. I managed to finished reading 3 novels, each about 400 to 500 pages long, in 3 weeks. *Didn't i get to hear applauses?* hehe....been folowing in my best friend foodstep, and tryinbg to revived back my reading habit since standard one. Catherine Coultier ccertainly is my favourite author, with her New York Best seller titles, The Countess, Eleventh hour, and Blindside, the last two books being FBI Thrillers, and the first book is set about in the 15th century, where the ranks of Count, Viscount and Earl remains in Britain. It's definitely one of the best author you can have when it comes to novels, and the link to her website can be found on the column at the right, under her name. i wouuld give a 5/5 rating for her works, and don't worry. i am not doing publicity for her, just to tell you my acomplishments, hehehehahahah.....but go read her books...It's worth your every sen and second

Besides that, I managed to help out in cleaning the house, my room especially, where spiders and lizards are my room-mates, ( JusT Joking, don't believe me!!) , helped out in the kitchen with the cleaning stuffs, definitely not the cooking (I'll be ready at the dining table half and hour before dinner:P) , and also play games and read novels, not to mentioned one of the books written by the all time favourite author, J.R.R Tolkien, in the famous Lord Of The Ring series.

Phew, after reading so many books in such a short time, i feel satisfied, and pleased with muyself, not going to "angkat bakul" here, but then, it's the most fruitful holidays by far for me.
With just 4 more days left to enjoy the break and another week or so before Christmas, i have a feeling things are gonna get better and beter for me. To sidetrack a little, I passed all my exams( Hallelujah) . Didn't think that i would, but I did. Thank The Lord for his faithfulness...

C ya soon people, Take Care...:P

Updates......

Hello People, it's me crapping again after a few days of absence from the cyberworld.... been enjoying every remaining days of my freedom from "the intelligent city", and really am glad...

This afternoon, i went over to PIKOM PC fair at PWTC today, since it's the first day. Went there with a friend, and we walked and walked and walked from afternoon till evening, just to buy a keyboard (that won't work) , a mouse (which won't work either) , a DvD-Rom, and a CD-RW Rom, which i hope it will worked. Mien, spent a few hours to get something off the shelves, and later found that it won't function as stated in the catalog. Oh well, this taught me an invalueble lesson, which is

"Test your product each time you buy, whether big or small. even a mouse may give you problem"

Enjoyed my time spent OUTSIDE home during the break, and also i sacrifice My PreCious sleep just to be out, hmmm, a worthwhile sacrifice, isn't it?

Will crap more soon, ran out of idea already. may be will come out with a poem of some sort. keep your eyes locked on to this page....:)

* A dedication to the fren who went with me to PC Fair today *

* A dedication also to a fren who asked me why i didnt update my blog on Thursday. (P/S : There you are friend, an updated blog and a dedication to YOU..:) Enjoy everybit of holiday....CHeeRS!!) *

My Holidays are numbered.....

Hey hey....after what seemed to be a long break from blogging, i am back here....with some not-so-interesting things to report.

With just 9 more days to go before semester starts again, i might be as well enjoying the remaining bits of my holidays. been having plenty of sleep, and also loads of food day in day out, there's really not much to asked for during the holidays, except perhaps for a personal gym instructor ro keep me in shape, or a personalized alarm clock, which will make sure i wake up on the dot each time the sun rises :) which is of course my mum, hahahahaha....

well, nothing magnificent happenned during the past 12 days of my break, except that i have been to Sunway Lagoon for a family day, organized by my dad's company. it was a nice trip there though, with plenty of fun ,and food as well (hehe, YumYum) i enjoyed every bit of time spent there, with my parents and siblings. i have been on a theme-park-drought for 2 years now, and blessing came after 730 days of waiting, hehehhehehe...:)

well, i will crap more if i have the time, given the fact that i do not have broadband at home, and i do not want to waste my parents $$ on phone bills, i might as wello stopped here. To all my friends who checked in here, i wanna say a BIG Thank You to you, for taking time to read my writings, and also, to my friends who are having holidays still, Happie Holidays ya, enjoy while you still can....

Take Care Friends......
